This month is when the Concrete Construction Magazine performs there analysis on the Top Concrete Contractors revenues for the previous years earnings.

Overall across the board concrete subcontractors and general contractors decreased in revenue approximately 18% in 2009.

Companies Showing increases in revenue are as follows.

Baker Concrete Construction +18.8%

United Forming + 0.1%

Morely Construction + 8.4%

Gulf Shores C&A + 155.5%

Blair Concrete Services +219%

Baker Concrete currently uses Tekla and Revit—Tekla because of its concrete construction focus.  They use BIM to understand the structure, execute quantity take-offs, scheduling, and to identify possible issues prior to outset of activities. BIM helps them to figure out how many concrete pours and the number of placements that will be required and how to minimize the number of pours. Rumor has it that by using Trimble and Tekla's technology to do layout and initial survey setup work, that it will eliminate the need for a superstar layout man in the field.
